We had some snow and freezing rain lately.I was cleaning a boiler in a 1850 house and noticed the basement was huge with dirt floors. Hmmmm I thought as I walked around it and into a 25 by 20 room. Got permission to hunt and first hit was a 1917 mercury dime that nearly blew my eardrums out at one inch deep. Well this got the blood flowing and bam another hit one foot away out pops another dime only looks different thinner. Took awhile to get crud off and saw one dime on back....now I'm really happy 1914 barber dime. Looked around some more and found a toasted half cent and clad quarter.
