Last month I hit a curb strip that’s 3 feet wide by 40 feet long,,the Etrac with the 6x8 pulled a walking half,a Rosie,a Merc and a few wheats..then I hit it twice more with the Etrac, and dug every signal that sounded good.
Tonight I took the racer 2 ,4.5x 5 inch oor coil, and dug these. All signals were clear but definitely mixed in with junk,masked..But the r2 with that little coil left no doubt what was there, and here they are,4 nickels,3 wheats,a few penny’s and a piece of costume jewelry..I really think this racer 2 shines if you take the time to learn it and use it.

Nice curb strip hunting! So which machine do you prefer, the E-Trac, or the Racer? I looked at buying a racer, but some folks said that it is an EMI magnet.

I have never had a emi issue with the racer 2,,and I hunt under power lines all the time. Its a toss up on that question,,the Etrac is king when it comes to deep silver,Correct ID ,and it’s just got the best tones.
Racer 2 is fast, pretty deep and pretty good ID,Lighter for sure..I guess it’s a toss up for where you hunt and how you hunt.Racer 2 is so customizable that’s its really a sweet all around machine.
