Many people use them but not as many as use regular handheld probes. If you want(i.e. NEED) the machines discrimination when locating targets, nothing compares. When hunting with a high disc pattern it is indispensable. The whole thing with a lot of people is weight. It adds a little to the overall machine, which if it’s an FBS machine, isn’t light to begin with. Sunray probes are made for many different models and brands of machines and a lot of people don’t even realize it, much less understand what they actually DO. They are pretty robust, I use mine a lot. NOT chasing pieces of nails and BS around in a hole makes hunting a HELL of a lot more fun, and saves a STUPID amount of time. JMO on it. They’re awesome.
