Georgivs III Rex possible 1771

Hi all,

we have recently found a Georgivs III Rex with possible date of 1771 but could be 1775, i am just intrested in the possible value of the coin.

nice coin

lets see the back for a positive id on it , there were alot of King George III counterfiets TOO.

That one is in extremely good shape, very little wear.

Strange coin, I can't find anything like it in my Spinks book.
It would be interesting to see the reverse.

The detail on the face looks pretty good, but the detail around the edge is poor.

Whereabouts are you Gary ?

Alan , i think Gary's "MIA" from the looks ( face is pretty good but edges look a little worn ) i'm almost positive is a counterfiet they were purposely made that way to fool people that it was a regal copper .

1771 or 1775?

Hmmmmm... A coin that pristine and the date is hard to read? I agree with the previous posts, need a pic of the reverse. Wear pattern does look a little off on the obverse though (i.e. olive leaves on head).
