Default Another example of using a low discrimination

I was swinging the DFX when I hit this 14k earring. Even though it's pretty good sized it still only reads a VDI of +4. I tried it on my Compadre and had to turn discrimination down to iron before it would pick it up.

I am afraid that your pointing to a direction in beach hunting with my Fisher that I did not want to go to - even lower discrimination levels. 4 is the factory preset and I was hunting at 3. It looks like I may have to go one lower if I want to have success at the gold.

Use a PI and dig it all at the beach...until you learn the sounds that the junk makes. RickO
