I was down along the a feeder stream of the Susquehanna river doing some metal detecting and something caught my eye. This was amongst some of the old pottery and other old home site goodies I found falling out of the river bank. The bank is a lot of clay, so it could be a clay ball but it also may be stone. Really hard to tell. I also found an 1882 Indian head not too far from it. If anyone could give me some info on it, maybe what it is and if anyone has found something like it, I would be really appreciative. Thanks all!!

I found something similar today while digging a hole at the house for my rose bush. It was about a 12.5 feet down. It's a very hard, smooth, perfectly round stone ball. I live in Indiana and we have found several arrowheads in the field behind our house. They were evaluated by Ball State University and one was estimated at 3000 years old which blows my mind.
