Someone tell me I'm deaming or help with ID

I had an hour or so after work today to go hunting so I started in an area that I found an Indian head about two weeks ago. About a half hour in I got a garbled quarter signal and this is what it was. Looked up the Pat. # when I got home and it says issued July 5, 1870. Does that mean this is older than that because it says Pat Pending?

I think that the only thing men were flying back in those days were balloons. Nice silver find tho!

From what I am seeing on my search it looks like a WWII sweetheart braclet.

Nice find. Definitely a WWII sweetheart bracelet. I googled LOCKETAG and found about 100 images of different ones. Here's what the bracelet looked like with the links attached.

The example shown has the Navy Chiefs anchor and the one you found has Army pilots wings.

Nope, it means its patent _application_ number is D105085. The actual patent number, if it ever got one, is something completely different.

Had a little search;
http://portal.uspto.gov/external/portal/pair

It does not appear to be listed, but they made thousands of them during the war and afterwards. Sterling silver says wartime to me!
