Found this today in an old ball field. Any ideas? I can't even figure out if it's chinese, japanese, or something else. It's the size of a quarter.

Thanks for the replies.

I've pretty much determined that it's a replica Chinese Cash Coin. CCC's were made for about 2000 yrs, ending in 1912. Since then there have been replica coins made called Feng Shui Luck coins. They aren't made to fool collectors - they're made to fool fools. lol Supposed to bring luck and good fortune. It didn't work for me today. It was the first thing I dug, and I only got 5-6 clad in the next 2 hours. lol

It could'a been worse--you could'a only dug pulltabs.

I'd take clad over those any day.
