Old photos of a towns history, the black and white photo was taken in the 1950's; The bigger shoe box style 2 story building, and the other with gables and peaks was a school that is gone now.
note the two ball fields, upper left and smaller diamond closer
to the grave yard.
The church was built in the 1863, earliest grave marker was a civil war vet.
I'm hoping that spring comes early this year !
Now for permission, any finds might be posted in March or April.

Spring has finally sprung! maybe not officially, but
after research and permission being granted,
I've made two hunts here.
Not much clad, but I found, an old Ladies heart locket, (copper brass gold plate?) and a wheatie on my first hunt of the year. 2 weeks ago.
I went back today taking a hunting buddy with.
I found another wheat, a 1914 barber dime, and a rosary beaded necklace with a silver Jesus on the crucifix.
My buddy found a few wheats and indian head
I'll try to post a few pictures later.
I'm sure we will be back a few times this year, with the frost still in the ground, around 6- 8" dig able,
and my buddy has been waiting for his NEL storm coil that is on back order :impatient:

Looks like a great place! I have asked at many churches in my area, and have never been turned down.

You must be better looking than I am because I have asked many churches in my area and have never gotten approval, LOL:?:

Good work on the research, it can be so important to leading to great finds! Add in some luck and you should be set!
