Fisher F5 Pinpointing help

hey guys, went out today to a local park and dug a ton in 3 hours, I have the clad rolling along in the tumbler right now. However, with the F5, when you pinpoint, is the sweet spot in the middle of the cutout?

Mine seems to be about 2 inches north of the center ring.

But when practicing pinpointing with coins resting on top...they're dead center on the small ring.

Oops...I have an F2...sorry.
