How come there is no "burst" above my eagle? Help ID, please.

I found this Great Seal button. It's the size of a penny. It looks a little like a WW1 button. But there is no Constellation or Burst. I am not having any luck finding this button. The damn button must have kept falling off because there was an inch long wire that fell off of the back. You can still see some of the wire on the back. I can't read the back either. I could really use a button expert. All information desired.

I looked at that site before I posted my thread. I still want more information. And some of the information listed is overwritten and hard to decipher. There has to be someone here who knows what this is.

Because your button doesn't have the "burst" on it and because the back was made of iron, you button is most likely a fashion button.

How come there is no "burst" above my eagle? Help ID, please.
