Welcome to the forum and to the hobby. My advice to any newbie is to be patient and don't get discouraged. It takes a while to learn a new machine and to know what it is telling you. Have fun and don't put too much pressure on yourself, remember it is a hobby !!!

Thank you..I did buy a garrett Ace 350 a few weeks ago and with some much needed advice, a detector pro pin pointer. I've been out a little and have dug many holes. I agree with the patience part but with winter around the corner it seems I'm rushing. I did find a 1942 quarter and a thimble so I should be greatful and i will work on increasing my patience level.
