ID Help for Foreign Coin

Great find - French I believe, Napoleon III, 10 centimes. Congrats

That's it! Thank you for the quick ID, here is a picture of one on ebay I found. Looks like they were produced 1852-1865.

That's it. They've come up a handful of times over the years on here. I've found two...front yard and side yard of one property.

Although French emigration to America was relatively low compared to other European counties, France and The United States had a terrific relationship in the late 19th century (see: Statue of Liberty) American students would go to France to study. Of course, soldiers also returned from WWI with souvenirs.
According to one online source the coin was demonetized in 1935.

An 1855 ten dix. My oldest coin. I thought that it was a quarter and my ride was ready to leave. I got in a hurry and scratched it.
