Sterling ring

Went out and pulled a quarter at 6.5 inches which was my deepest with the ATP today and a nice sterling ring. I hit it unfortunately but the split in the ring wasn't me. The hallmark is a diamond shape with the capital letter V over it. I tried looking it up but came up empty. Anyone familiar with it?

Yeah I thought it was gonna be a hoss when I pulled it out of the hole but it's hollowed under the stone.

Really nice ring !!! I bought one at an estate sale that is very similar to it. The one I bought was from the 40's.

That is a nice old Sterling Ring you dug Tone. I would think it would date back to the 20's or 30's just by appearance. I could not find anything to help on the hallmark. Congrats! Trapper
