Found this button today during my lunch hunt. It's pretty large as you can tell from the quarter comparison. Varies in thickness from about 2mm to 3mm. Definitely a type of brittle lead. Was wondering if anyone has ever seen anything like this one.

Also found a 1937 Mexican 20 Centavos Silver Coin......

The lead is not a button, but a lead weight used by dressmakers. They would pin them to the bottom of the hem, to hold the dress while working on it.

think they also used them as curtain weights as well
