Ok, they are rusty buckle for horses and such haha, my question is does the shape mean anything? Some are bowed and some square...also is that ring attach to a thing a horse tie off? It's pretty large and I found it in the same hole as the large buckle.

+1 , buckle size ,shape is just a matter of preference. Had many uses , horse's , other animals as well as bags , I like the catalog!
