What does the 7.5 K mean??? thanks

It is on the inside of this bracelet....this is my second silver in 2 days and biggest piece of silver yet

I'm guessing 7.5 is the size of the ring.....except that I just realized it's a bracelet.....so forget I said anything. Weight maybe?

maybe this is it...took this info off the web:

Copper is the most common metal used to round out the 7.5 percent alloy balance in sterling silver.



So maybe its the alloy content...
