I have been using this trenching shovel for quite a while. It will keep you upright and off your knees. On deep targets I just jump on it a little to sink it in and pull back on the handle. Pop out the dirt, kick dirt around a little, and pinpoint. Saves me time and pain. Not reccommended for fine pruned yards. Great on beach and woods. Also helps walk through woods by pushing limbs out the way. I still carry small diggers for getting around roots. Sometimes on sand I can "pop" the coin out and just tamp the soil back down. Enjoy the hobby, Not the work.
