good website to research old coins

Does anyone have a good site for getting info on old coins? I know I read one on here before but can't remember where. I just came across two coins a 1928 shilling and a 1912 nickel that I had found years ago in our old house and was curious> I'm just getting into this but am finding the diff in years and metals (for the same type of coin )etc facinating and would like to learn more.
