1939 Jefferson Nickel

Need some help folks......

I have a Wittmans Nickel book....1938 to 1967....bought it for my son.

It has (2) spots for 1939 nickels:

1939T II
1939D T II

I have an old Jefferson book from when I was a kid....and the 1939's are not labeled like this....I am a bit lost...

Can someone tell me what the deal is with this?

maybe there is a type 2 vs type 1?

Only time I saw type I or II was when referencing the 13 Buffalo nic.
