If you had to choose one detector which would it be. The Garrett AT Pro or the Garrett AT Gold and why. I live in north dakota and there is no gold but was wondering if the AT Gold would be the better detector for coins, relics,and jewelry.

AT GOLD for me as well I liked the fact that its geared to do more then just coin shoot , I like the fact that if I want to go hunt nuggets with it I can. It's got really good depth i am very happy with it and I am glad I chose it over the AT PRO. There are only a few of us , well that post here anyway. I have only heard good things posted about the AT GOLD

I just took the plunge on the AT GOLD myself for almost all the reasons you stated

I've done so much research the video that came with it I was watching and was like " I already knew that"

the one thing i didn't know is DESCRIM 2 is tailored for coin hunting

another thing people don't know about is the threshold audio hum

good digging either way!!
