I was looking at where you are from. You must be into some of the boys following (or trying to delay) Sherman on his march to the sea. Those guys were issued a lot of those buttons in winter quarters in and around Dalton, Ga. Good luck with the rest of the site.

Very nice button. Cast are a treat. I actually found my first last week in Macon Ga. my loop was broken off, local collector/hunter/ said it was a casting bubble weakened the loop. been trying to determine where it was manufactured at. that's a sweet one you have! CONGRATS!
