Always wanted to find one of those cool reversed stamping plates I see posted every so often.
Today was the day...found part of one, anyway.
In a curb strip next to an old park, no less.

Another target knocked off the axillary bucket list.

Cool - a letterpress printing engraving. I wonder why they end up in the dirt? Would have been mounted on wood so that the print surface was .918 high ("type high"). Maybe the metal portions were pulled off for scrap and some of them got lost in the dirt. We still have the equipment at my work to print with these.
