Went back to the site where my friends are building their new house. Not too bad for a couple of hours. Pistol bullet day. Three 44 cal barthalows and one colt, a couple of mangled minnie balls and a rivet

One of my friends is one of the workers who is doing the actual construction of the house. He has a 3030 and has been hitting this spot. Started a few weeks before I did. Here is what he has found so far. Quite an assortment. The piece in the bottom right corner is part of a shotgun barrel.

Nice collection of lead for sure. Just imagine how much is around all the other houses in that area. Congratulations on adding more to your collection.

Thank you. We hope to get some adjoining permission. I know a lot of the bullets were found right along the property lines.

Well my friend who is building the house called me this morning and asked if I would sign for a delivery for him while he was at another job site. So I got my detector and went for more than an hour. I found the pistol bullet and then NOTHING..... I neglected to charge things up and the coil died. Anyway got the pistol bullet and the flat button before calling it quits for the day.

Went back out for a while today. Always nice to find brass and lead, even if it is just a little. The second picture is all of what I've found here. This might be my last time going there. Need to talk to some neighbors. :shifty:

Very interesting, if only you could see what happened on that land for those to end up there. Those are some pieces pf history right there! Nice!

This piece of land is pretty much right in the middle of where the Union army spent the winter of 1862-1863.
