Not much to report for my May. Working just about 70 hours a week, but I've still made time for my hobby. I've actually been out quite a bit but the spots are all dry.
Out of desperation I shot back over to the park I swore I was done with.
Wouldn't you know it I snagged a merc right at the edge of the chain link fence yesterday and the stragglers kept miraculously popping up today!!!
This park has coughed up 3 seated coins for me in the past and about a dozen other silvers. So I've been trying to record when I get decent tones.....Well.....Yesterday I had a decent tone chirping at 12-44 at 8 so I recorded and it ended up being a stupid wheat. The next hit was a 6 inch 12-44 and I didn't record and it was a merc.
Today , same exact scenario....But I did catch the last merc and it is a semi rare date....nothing crazy......Funny, someone posted a 21 here last night.

Anyway , Oh yeah and I had the heart stopper gold in the plug I tried and tried to focus on it and couldn't see any markings on it....I'm pretty sure It has a 925 in it....Oh well....I guess it could've been worse and been tin costume jewelry......I'll take it......That's probably my 6th or 7th piece of sterling FTY......
I'll throw in a picture of a ring from last week that has no markings....It was a screaming 12-47 . I'm gonna assume its sterling. And another interesting find was from an old foundation is a broken (I think) crotal bell. I've never seen one this color and this shiny. Anyone else?
So anyway......its been a slow year for me ....I believe this gets me up to 28 silvers FTY.
Happy hunting everyone.

Very nice pile of digs Bobac .
With the oldies you have pulled out of there I would think there are some more and also some Indians . Keep us posted and though you do not hunt there as often I'd keep going back once in a wile . Old messy spots can hide a lot of good ones .
Congrats on the saves
