I found this yesterday. I think it is rare to find one in South Georgia. I haven't made an attempt to clean it up except for soap and water so the reverse side is a mess. Any ideas?

English 2 pence piece, steel core hence all the rust.

Reverse looks to be on its side, this is the right way up.

I think I will run it through the rock tumbler and see how it cleans up. thanks

I know this is an old post, but for future reference, I would DEFINITELY not put a rare coin like that through a rock tumbler. Unless your just looking to polish it up for a collection, a rock tumbler would only further destroy what value it may have had. Im guilty of this myself, LOL, I find a Bad *** coin and the first thing I wanna do is throw it in the cleaner, most of them I do, but I dont intend on selling or getting any of my finds appraised.

Awesome find by the way!! Im jealous!
