The forecast said 50 degrees and for this time of year, it is nearing a record high.
I met up with Randy and PJ this morning at the place Randy and I killed back around New Years.
My very first signal, literally as I turned the machine on was a wheatie:D

Virtually no frost in the ground, but it sure was a foggy muddy mess today.

I ended up finding 3 more Buffs, for a total of 6 from this location this year:shock:

Very happy with thirteen wheats, especially the older ones.

Happy Hunting everybody

Not sure what machine you are using, but on the PRO they ring in the low 50's just like other nickels and pulltabs

, for me they squeak 81 82 like a dime on the At Pro I have been having some issues and Garrett told me to send it back but I nd as long as the weather holds I don't want to part with it .

Just water and soap and a nylon bristle brush for the wheats.
If they are really crusty, then soak in olive oil for a day or two.
For the buffs, I use an SOS pad.:D

Nice finds, and nice dates! Still got a foot of snow here in big sky, but is slowly melting.

Is the Jefferson a war nickle?
