I just purchased a new Minelab Vanquish 540 with Pro Pack to do some beach detecting.
For the price I don't think you can find a better multi freq. detector.
It uses 5 ,10, 15, 20 and even 40kHz scans and can find lots of stuff.
Great New Years deal with lots of extras for the beginner.
