Hi all!

I asked this once on another thread, but, alas, no answer. I have a Prizm III that I really enjoy. However, I have seen some folks mentioning performing a ground balance adjustment and an air balance adjustment. What do these mean, and how would I perform this, if it is necessary, on my Prizm III?

Your detector has a preset ground balance. There is no need to adjust it although there is an adjustment present on it that can be tweaked in. When you start up a Whites DFX or XLT , there is a process that involves a balancing of the detector in the air before you set the coil on the ground and ground balance it. I don't beleive there is such a thing as an "air" balnce to any detector that I know of.

I think he was confused about holding the coil in the air and making said adjustments. Prety simple to do, just avoid any metal and get that nice thresh hold humm.
