I just found a book on historical Sharon Springs NY. This town has crazy history. Dozens of big old hotels, parks and other sites. It was a wellness destination from the mid 1800's through the mid 1900's. A friend of mine tells me most of the locations are now vacant and in disrepair. The entire area seems a no brainer for detecting although I don't know of any possible ordinances or trouble with permission. Also the area was a site of revolutionary war activity. Anyone ever detect there. Sorry for this post if it's one of your secret honey holes. Just thinking of making a weekend trip out of it. HH.
