After a couple of weeks traveling, I came back to find a spot opened up in one of the beaches I like to hunt. This is an area in which I was finding a lot of older material in the spring, but it's been covered by thick sand through the summer and fall. I got in a two-hour hunt before the Patriots game and came up with some change including 5 wheats and an undated liberty walking half, so the old stuff is starting to appear again. A couple of other interesting items were a brass bat that may have been on a key ring, and a lead animal that appears to be a cow or a dog. With negative tides over the next few days, I'm hoping this area will produce some more interesting items.

Looks promising for sure, hope you get older stuff from now on.
I always had better luck in the winter/spring when I was water hunting.

Good job on the WL!

Thanks Vlad. At this time of year some of the deeper levels are just starting to open up. It often gets better as winter storms move the sand around and offshore, but of course there are no guarantees. In any case I like winter/spring hunting best because I usually have the beach all to myself.

It looks like a dog.

So what do you call a dog with no legs?

Doesn't matter what you call it. It will never come.

Could be a cow.

And what do you call a cow with no legs?

Ground beef.

Anyway congrats on the silver. Hope you find gold in the future.
