Today's track..:windy:

Hunted my best spot today, the same place I have been finding most of my old gold this season, 5 hours... The wind was insane, the heaviest wind I have hunted in yet, with gusts over 60mph from what the 11:00 news reported... I was almost knocked over more than a few times... The weather forecast was slightly wrong on the timing of the wind direction change so I was facing on shore winds most of the hunt, which didn't allow me to cover the area I was hoping.. The temp inland was 58, on the lake it seemed like 33.. Still made out alright, even though I feel like I spent all day on rough water in a small boat... I'm sure when I lay down in bed it will still feel like I'm moving. ( I don't mind that part )

I was on a mission, sick of consolation silvers and that last skunk I had. I put on my waders and faced the November gales, with a sickness only to be cured by one thing, I decided to give it all I had today!

Ring 140- A junker, the second one of these I found here. I guess when you pull 90 or so rings off the same beach your going to get duplicates.. I also found duplicate G-Man rings here..

Ring 141- My first ever cameo ring and she was shining in my scoop! I knew I was better now even though its only 1.3 grams, 10K... Even a little bit of gold will cure the deepest ailment, and warm you up too...

Ring 142- My first silver signet ring ever, although there is no engraving on it still pretty happy about it. 3 gold signet rings have come off this beach as well.

Thanks for looking, good luck and stay warm all!

You sir, are an animal! Congrats on a memorable hunt! Be careful in that stuff out there.. Nothing like a wader spill in some frozen water..I'd be out there with you if I was out that way. That weather wouldn't keep me inside either.

Thanks Jay!!

I was talking with my wife and she agrees that, the last ring from the water is still always about 1000X safer than the last walleye through the ice!!

But I hear ya, waders can be pretty dangerous, always best to wear a wader belt!!

If you're used to hunting in that stuff you would never survive the tropical dry fluffy sands here in South Florida! Congrats on a great hunt!!

Now thats a great hunt. I think the beach knew you were going to score alot of its treasure so it summoned high speed winds to get you out of there.

Man, be safe out there,,,,and you didn't even have to shave the beard,,,,:laughing:thats probably a good thing being it can help to keep you warm,,,,,as hard as you hunt, I am sure glad you are not in my neck of the woods,,,:lol:congrats on the gold,,,,,GL HH

cool ice pic

Great Hunt I.S., love all the treasure but that cameo ring is stunning. and the name to boot! Great catch..and congrads on number #42

and you didn't even have to shave the beard,,,,

About that...

I thought about it and I have also been wearing a red wool flannel shirt.. So I tried the grey one and it seemed to make all the difference.. Maybe that flannel was the bad luck? Time will tell...

Thanks for all the comments guys...

The water is cold to the point that it will be any day now. Like last season, I was hoping to get one more hunt in and I showed up to ring beach to find this...:(

Great job man Congrats on the 10k!

I hit it hard today in the wind and 30 degrees but no Gold for me.
I will hopefully get one last shot tomorrow!
