Well as you know I like going to thrift shops. And well this time it paid off. I don't know if you are familiar with Goodwills "jewelry jars". Well apparently they take all kinds of jewelry and watches and stuff them into a large vase and sell them. Well I went into one of them a few days ago and was looking at the jar they had not once but 3 times. I decided oh just take a chance. Well my $20.00 paid off pretty dang good. I ended up with 10 watches, 3 were junk, 5 are running and 3 to be determined. Fossil, Timex, Tommy Hilfiger etc. A nice Samosinite "aviation" watch which is absolutely gorgeous. And countless earrings, necklaces and stuff all which could be sold at my local flea circus or yard sale and easily make my money back. Also a nice sterling neck chain and pendant. BUT the best was a 14kt. Gold and emerald bracelet. I was dumbstruck, really. I waited to post this till my gold testing kit came in, and well it's legit. I guess I'm just stunned because this was my very first "jewelry jar". I guess you never know.....Earrings are sterling from an earlier store $2.00 the cross is not silver but still very nice.

I've decided to throw everything back into the vase and take it to my friends thrift shop and put $25.00 on it and see if it goes. Maybe easier than trying to sell piece by piece  I spend money REAL well, but selling and trying to get rid of stuff is a chore for me for some reason, cheap people I guess......

I have seen those jars but always thought that an employee with some knowledge had gone thru all that junk before it got put in the jar.

Do they do them everywhere??? Have a Goodwill right down the road, will have to check it outā€¦ā€¦
