Good detective work PRYAN......the dug one must have been an earlier version because the Etsy one is dated 1990, the posted one is dated 1787 which makes no sense at all.

Yeah, that's not a mexican 2 peso coin, look at the detail on the wreath and no mint mark the O over the M for mexico city is missing. Some fantasy piece...

You would think the Jeweler I had that tested it would be more careful. Heck he buys gold. Maybe I should sell it to him.

Yeah, gold items usually have that loop (called a jump loop) on top soldered closed too..
