found my first.
1956 school house.
Not much clad, so i dont belive its virgin ground.
pulled the rosie and a flat button too. wish i knew the history of the land before the school.

That seated was iffy too. i almost missed it but caught just enough noise to peak my interest. barely got a good tone or vdi but the pp sure knew it was there so i dug.

@davedude. Going back is what got me the flat button way down a hillside and that was iffy deep too. I'm thinking I'll hit it good in the fall. The dry soil this time of year isn't helping.
 
FYI

I was using a NOX 600 with 15" coil and sense maxed at 25. Notched out Zinc and below with nickles notched in.

The seated and flat button were both difficult signals. Im sure the dry ground didn't help, but I was still able to eek them out in 8"-10" plugs. Luck being on my side too, there wasn't much electrical wires near by.

Obviousy the find in and of itself was fun, being my 1st in 10 years of digging.

But, you're right. The condition was a kick to. Half the Mercs I've found in those 10 years have been slicks and culls. This was fun for sure.

Even the reeds are in good shape.
