Smile Took My "New" Wheels Out For Its 1st MD Hunt. . .

It was a very short hunt. I wasn't finding much and it was already getting warm when I decided to go out but I got one good signal and I'm happy with it even though it's not something to write home about or brag about but I'll take it! I found a 1940 wheat cent! I'm one of these that if I find a wheat cent I call it a good hunt and I'll be back because where there's wheat there's silver! (For those who haven't seen my other post here is a picture of "my new ride" -- 2010 Ford Escape XLT.)

Good Luck and Happy Hunting! Stay Safe!

Congrats on the two finds. We bought our Escape new in 2009. Overall a good little SUV.
Unfortunately if the ABS Module goes out it gets expensive. Good luck!

I know. My truck had that issue at one time. Solved it by disconnecting the cables from the battery for about 30 to 45 seconds and reattaching the cables. It reset the "brain" of the truck and both the brake light and ABS light went off and never came back on. Of course the radio and the clock had to be reset but that was a small inconvenience to save me big bucks of having that fixed! (Mine was caused by someone hitting the passenger side rear panel behind the back right wheel. Their insurance fixed that problem but the lights were still on and a mechanic at an AutoZone in town showed me that trick!) But now the truck has a new home.

Glad to see your back out detecting. Congrats!

I feel if I find a wheat it was a good hunt too, especially after returning home with much less in some past hunts. Hopefully next time you will find some silver to go along with the wheat! HH.

The wheat cent is a nice find! I like uncovering those, too.

Where there are wheats, there can be silver. But I guess you said that.
