While relaxing this morning, His Majesty was given a package by the Queen. KT was excited to learn His Royal Offer was accepted by a passing salesman and a package of silver was in hand!
Despite being discouraged by the recent price hikes on 90% silver, KT had a thought that perhaps, for some reason, 40% Ag halves had not gone up proportionately....and He was correct! KT found a seller who offered a roll of 40 40%ers for less than silver face value. KT was the 2nd bidder and the 1st bidder never came back so KT got it!
A couple of real questions were concerning KT....perhaps the 40 coin roll in the title was a typo?? And could such a decent bargain be true??
Well, they arrived and yes, a single roll of 40 coins. They looked a bit tired and drab after their lengthy journey so KT enjoined them to enjoy His Majesty's Royal Roman Style Baths and soak all that grime and soil from themselves! And when they returned, they were gleaming with silver pride, almost as beautiful as when minted!
As proof of the unusual roll, KT had the Royal Photographer take a picture of the paper roll, then of the coins, grouped by age. Now that they are happy to be squeaky clean, they will be housed in new clean surroundings and stored away in the Royal Treasure Box in the Castle Treasure Room!
Enjoy the pictures by the Royal Photographer. They certainly look happy to have the travel grime removed from them!
