The 38th Annual HARC Open Beach Hunt will be Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at East Beach / Apffel Park, in Galveston, Texas. Again this year we will do the event in partnership with the Texas Association of Metal Detecting Clubs (TAMDC). During this fun filled day there will be 5 hunts. In addition to the hunts both HARC and TAMDC will run raffles.

The hunt goes on rain or shine. For the HARC hunts, 100% of the hunt fee goes back into the ground as silver coins or tokens.
The tokens are redeemable for prizes which include metal detectors, gold coins, silver dollars, silver rounds, pin pointers, and other metal detecting or coin related prizes.
Last year with 94 hunt entries, HARC planted or gave as prizes about 6000 silver coins. There were 110 token prizes that included 2 gold coins, 10 metal detectors, and 6 pin pointers.
Prizes for the HARC raffle will be: Garrett AT Max, 1/10 oz. gold coin, gold 2 ½ pesos, and silver dollars
