identify this bullet

found this bullet last year. Took it to our local gun range and they said it was modern. Hmmm, I wonder if they were right or wrong. I figured members here could give me an answer to this question that is correct.

X2 modern. Should be able to see the difference in pict of older bullets from circ 1860.

Hard to tell with that pic, but it sort of looks like a modern wad-cutter style bullet.

looks like it could be a shotgun deer slug.

Unless it came from a .410, it's far too small. I know they make .410 slugs, but I don't really know anything about them.

For comparison size, a 12 ga slug is .729 dai.
