Hey guys, I'm finally back in business, I got another car towards the end of last week. This one needs some minor things replaced, believe me when I tell you, I looked this thing over. I am sick of people ripping me off, and I think I got a great deal on this one. And it looks like this is going to last me a long time, with low miles and a solid non rotted frame. I have not been able to go back to my honey hole public school, in two weeks. Keep in mind I only go on Sunday's because there is absolutely no one there, and I want to make sure I have the place to myself, with no one to bother me. The last time I was here, I was told by someone who used to go here in the 1950s, what extra activities the kids did here, besides the usual sporting games that were held in the sporting area. This was, according to the man, the gambling capitol of the town back in the 1950s, and even the kids that went before his time. They would gamble with silver coins in certain areas near the school, and when approached by the faculty and authorities, they would throw the evidence or silver coins into the grass. That explains the amount of silver half dollars and quarters and dimes I have found near these areas. He told me they gambled near certain trees, certain doors on the building, and corners of sidewalks and what not. And they also ran around and playing around certain trees too. He tells me they were much smaller back then. On this hunt I went near one of the gambling and run around trees. Now keep in mind I hunted this place many times now with great results as you all have seen. So it's been hunted hard by me, but I am now concentrating on certain areas and gridding and trying to pull as many signals as I could out. But there is just one problem, there is too many signals !!! That is why I can't concentrate on the lower gold tones too much. But I eventually will. Anyway I hunted around this tree and found a bunch of wheat pennies, and a silver 1936 Washington. I also found another washington about 30 feet away, a 1964, and a deeper 1916 S Merc. This was on the 1930's side of the building. I seen the mint mark, and I got excited, but not for too long of coarse . Then I found out, from the man, about where the playground equipment was positioned back in the 1950's also. He gave me the correct measurements and everything. He said about 6 feet away on one side and about 25 feet away on the other. Well I went there, and I concentrated deeper and slower in this one 30 foot by 20 foot area, and surely enough, I located where the old playground was. You can see the ground is still slightly higher in that area from back then. I found two more Washingtons, a 1942, and a 1945 in the hole with a 1941 Jefferson nickel, a 1942 Merc, and a 1948 Rosie, and some more wheat pennies. Not much longer after that I left cause it was getting late. I dug in total, around 5 and a half dollars in clad, 20 wheat pennies, all from the 1950's and 1940's, four silver quarters, and three silver dimes, and a small sterling ring. There are a lot of pull tabs and other coin signals lying around lying around. This school had a lot of traffic throughout the years, and I will continue to go back and rework those areas, until I don't find anything. As always, thanks for looking and HH Everyone! :)
