I couldnt see the light on paying almost $200 on a longer aftermarket shaft so I modified the stock s shaft for my excal. I took the dive shaft that was included when I bought the ecal, cut, drilled and butt connected it to the long shaft to make it even longer, gained 10 more inches to the swing. Then used a piece of aluminum from a crutch to make the behind mount on the cuff. The tube fit snug and was the same OD as the s shafts ID. Marked and drilled it and poof, nice beach shaft. I had everything on hand expept for the epoxy, which was only $4.79 + tax. So for less then $5 and a hour of my time I got a decent beach rig.
