I started a little over a month ago with some rough looking chunks of petrified wood. After weekly grit changes, a nice polish and a 3 hour burnish of ivory snow soap, this is the final product. I lost nearly 30% of the weight using different grits. I dig lots of petrified pieces wood, quartz, some amethyst and garnets digging for gold.

Ha! Nice story, but I'm not buying it. What those are, actually, folks, are wood chips from Pebbles Flintstone's tot lot in Bedrock Park!

Those look really nice !!! I have been tempted at time to try to polish rocks but only use my tumbler for coins.
