The "air force" is post 1947 and was the Army Air Corps before then. Looking online I find a few that were sold in WW2 with the air corps name, so yours is made right after. It said they were offered for sale by the px for the men to buy. I'll keep looking for yours.

"Air Forces" is a pre-1947 term when it was officially Army Air Corp. Between 1945-1947 the Term "Army Air Forces" was frequently used. The term bridged the Army Air Corp days until the creation of the separate service, the US Air Force.

I found a similar insignia or a prop over the wings. Sterling silver dated to 1943-45

Congrats on a great find.

Missed the plural, good catch!

Nice find! Here is one I found in late Dec. 2020. I have searched everywhere and not found one like it.

Congrats on a great find.

Beat me to it. Mostly.

It was the United States Army Air Corps from 1926 to 1941 (I had to look up the 1926 date), and the United States Army Air Forces from 1941 to 1947.

The prop and wings could be from any time in the past hundred years, but "Air Forces" puts a close limit on it. It would have to be between 1941 and 1947, but without "Army" it is much more likely to be 1945 to 1947, during the stand-down and leading up to armed forces organization under the department of defense.
