Hi everyone,
I found this brass piece in the woods on Long Island yesterday. The bottom third (up to the collar) is hollow and threaded, all of the writing/markings are visible in this photo. The lettering looks c.1900 to me, but if there are other suggestions please let me me know.
A few suggestions in other groups: parasol top, end piece of a stove lighter, another good tip about Crescent being a silverware company in New Jersey and this piece may be related. Any ideas?
