Last summer I had found my oldest coin on a random hunt(1791 spanish 1 reale). I had done a few hints this year that consisted of a half hour here or there with work being busy. I had a few hours yesterday to go so I went, hoping to just find silver. I never thought I would top my 1791 until about 15/20 mins into it I uncovered my oldest yet again!! Both PA gems! Thanks for looking and happy diggin!

That is sweet. I found a cut piece of a 1724 2 Real here off the intercoastal of N. Fla. May I ask what state you found that in?

Nah, there's all those 1721's out there, just waiting to be found!

Fantastic find. I hope I get a chance to pull some history out of the ground like that.
 
Waltr, from what i could see it's a 2 reale. It's about the size of a quarter maybe a little bigger. I'll have to look again.
