I have a Minelab Exterra 30, just wondering if I am missing out on more items at the beach. I search both the beach and parks/schools. Wondering if a better machine would benifit more at the beach? Thanks

Your 30 should work fine in the school yards, parks and dry sandy beaches.

But remember that the 30 is a single frequency detector (which can change frequencies when you change coils), and they do not, as a rule, do as well on wet sand and surf like a multi-frequency or PI detector will.

I would recommend keeping the X-Terra and looking at a dedicated beach unit if you spend more than 30% of your time hunting beaches.
