Finally got out to this house that I've been after for at least a year. Beautiful day, soil was great, finds were so-so. About 25 minutes into the hunt I get the silver rosie-1950, and very shortly after I get a wheatie and buffalo nickle. Somewhere along the line I scored 2 more wheaties. I was very surprised that there not more old coins, the gentlemen (very easy on the eyes :sweet:) told me the house was built around 1824. So maybe what ever is there, is really deep, I don't know. But I did find a couple of old half horse shoes along with an old rat tail file, 2 very worn hoes etc. He told me I was more than welcome to finish up on the back yard....I think I will ;) Any ideas on the "silver" thing?

1824? I’d hit that place until they made me leave! Congrats on the silver and other finds.

It's not as "great" as you'd think for that time period. House is not that big at all and it actually has a quite small yard. But I still have a small back yard to do, so maybe I'll find something better out there. Also they were farmers so I'm sure the held tight to their $$$. HH all!!
