CTX 17 inch coil anyone use this?

Was thinkin on getting a 17" smart coil for the CTX but at 440 bucks Canadian I can buy a nice detector for that.

If anyone has one let me know what you think.

Is it too heavy ?
Do you think you find more stuff than you would with the stock coil?

Most of my hunting is beaches so there is a lot of ground to cover and very little trash.

I recommend it for dry/wet sand especially when a good used one around $200 do come around.
I got one ($215 with shipping) to hunt on the beach with. It is heavy but covers more area. I have used it in the water but has too much resistance for long use. The pinpointing for me is a little harder, hopefully with use I will get better

There is a member here (bobac) who has had incredible results finding deep silver with the 17" coil. search for some of his threads.
