Quite a mixture of finds even by my standards.

Rough ploughed field.

Medieval copper-alloy bar mount C1350-1400.

Broken buckle.

All finds.

Edward 4th 1461-1483 & Alexander 3rd (Scotland) 1249-1286

Pilgrim badge (part) lead, C1200-1550.

Bar mount, rivet holes can be seen

Cool finds! Was that just a random field you detected in or was there record of there being something there, as far as settlements are concerned.

Thank you, yes I am lucky to be surrounded with history from the Iron/Bronze Age through to Roman and Medieval settlements.

At this time of the farming year I have to take any field(s) that are available, these particular 3 fields had a fresh water spring up in one corner and a very old road leading down to the village running past the 3 fields.
