Linseed oil

I read a post of someone cleaning a Indian Head with linseed oil.
Has anyone heard/used this.
It came out sweet and was sent in and graded .

Never heard of using it. Can't wait for someone to chime in on this. Step by step directions, please.

Never have used it on coins, but I use it on my old WW2 Garand and carbine stocks. It will leave a film, and if it is raw linseed oil it can take a long time to dry. I think ill try it on a few old coins.

It's also acidic, so beware. Don't use anything except water, on anything of
value.

He soaked it for about a month, while giving it a gental soap wash once a week.
